MONIKA URBANSKI

Cosmetic Nurse and Dermal Therapist

As a registered nurse and dermal clinician, Monika Urbanski brings an extensive 10 year career in the aesthetics industry to the team. With a Bachelors degree in both Health Science (Dermal Therapy) and Nursing, Monika is now introducing cosmetic treatments to Women’s Health Melbourne.

Monika’s approach involves assessing each individual’s unique features, tailoring the treatment to enhance your natural beauty for the most effective result. She regularly  attends industry seminars and ongoing training to bring the latest technology and treatment techniques available in the field of aesthetics to her patients.

In addition to providing injectable treatments, Monika believes in holistically treating the skin in collaboration with other allied health professionals to encourage the best results. Her work often involves consultation with a nutritionist to create a tailored skincare regimen that supports the complexion both inside and out, addressing gut issues and other interconnected factors that can influence the long-term health of the skin.

As with all our services at Women’s Health Melbourne, patient safety is always of paramount importance for every treatment. We will always conduct a thorough check of your medical history, including a detailed discussion of your goals, expected outcomes and a supportive medical staff to ensure your question or concerns are always taken care of.

What happens during an appointment?

During your appointment, you will first have a consultation with a cosmetic nurse to go through your medical history and ensure that you are suitable for treatment, whilst also discussing your desired outcomes and your aftercare instructions. Once your consultation is complete, you will have a video call with a doctor to approve your treatment and provide a prescription. From here, your treatment generally takes about 10-15 minutes. Your nurse will mark out the treatment area and whilst you lay back, a number of small injections will be administered. Once complete you are provided with aftercare instructions and a review appointment is booked for 2 weeks if required.

I am currently pregnant, breastfeeding or undergoing treatment at WHM, can I have antiwrinkle treatment?

As with most other aesthetic treatments, it is not advised to have treatment when pregnant or breastfeeding. However, treatment can safely be done in between cycles of egg freezing or IVF. If you are ever unsure, your cosmetic nurse will be able to advise whether or not it is a good time to have treatment.
