DR MICHAL AMIR

Specialist Gynaecologist and Endoscopic Surgeon

Dr Michal Amir is a specialist Gynaecologist, and advanced laparoscopic and robotic surgeon.

Following her Obstetrics and Gynaecology training, Dr Amir completed a two-year fellowship in Advanced Laparoscopy and minimally invasive surgery in Monash Medical Centre. Since then she gained much experience in Australia and overseas, in general gynaecology, but mainly in laparoscopic and robotic surgery.  Her niche of specialty is Endometriosis and chronic pelvic pain, which she is very passionate about.  

Michal holds consultant positions at two of Melbourne’s biggest hospitals: The Royal Women’s Hospital and Monash Health.  She works within these institutions in advanced laparoscopic gynaecology, research and is also involved in medical teaching and training.

Michal is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG) and a member of the Australasian Society for Endoscopic Surgery (AGES).

Michal is multilingual. In addition to English, she is fluent in Hebrew.
