Dr Sylvia Ross is a dedicated medical professional with over a decade of experience in the field of women's health. She is a specialist in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (FRANZCOG) and currently in the final stage of completing her Certificate of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (CREI), a highly competitive program producing board certified subspecialists in infertility. Her other qualifications include a Bachelor of Biomedical Sciences, majoring in reproduction and development, and a postgraduate diploma in Obstetrics and Medical Gynaecology.

Specializing in infertility treatment, Sylvia offers a range of services to support individuals and couples facing fertility issues. Her expertise includes management of polycystic ovarian syndrome, ovulation induction, in vitro fertilization (IVF), and various surgical interventions tailored to meet the unique needs of her patients.

Her mission is to provide the highest standard of care, using evidence-based treatment specific to the individuals she cares for. She understands the deeply personal nature of the journey towards parenthood and is committed to supporting her patients at every stage. She also warmly welcomes engagement with other healthcare professionals and is happy to offer advice and guidance when approached.

Throughout her career, Sylvia has earned recognition for her outstanding contributions to obstetrics and gynaecology. She was honoured with the esteemed Shan S. Ratnam Young Gynaecologist Award by the Asia Oceania Federation of Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 2017.

Sylvia's commitment to research and education is evident in her numerous research projects and formal teaching roles. She previously held a role as a clinical research fellow and lecturer at the University of Auckland, teaching and mentoring medical students and doctors undertaking the Diploma of Obstetrics and Gynaecology.

Sylvia is a valued member of The Royal Women’s Hospital team in Melbourne, where she dedicates her expertise to the Public Fertility Service, contributing to research and junior doctor teaching in the field of reproductive medicine and IVF.
